MESSAGE FROM LEE FULLER REGARDING THE "MARCH IN MARCH" ON 3/22/2010:

"I would like to thank all those who made their voices heard at this amazing event! Estimates are that nearly 15,000 students attended the march to the capital. It was simply awe inspiring to see all the faces who came to Sacramento to be a part of this collective message. I personally spoke to a Lieutenant of the Sacramento Police Department after the event was over. He stated to me that "This was a true success in our minds. No serious issues.. and that was refreshing." GREAT JOB EVERYONE! Our goal was a peaceful and respectful event with our voices being clearly heard, and doing so without a single incident that would give anyone cause to believe we were simply radicals who would seek to do damage to people or property. The overwhelming sentiment was that we reached, and surpassed, that goal. WELL DONE!

My thanks and appreciation go out to the Student Senate of California Community Colleges - and specifically President Reid Milburn, Vice-President Chris DeBauche, Communications Officer Marcus King, and ALL the team - for the excellent job they did in organizing and managing the event. Truly a success, by any standard!"
